Oil, grease and fine suspended solids stop biology dead. We supply DAF units, plate separators and skimmers that take them out first — sized from your oil and TSS load, with the chemistry to break emulsions when free oil is not the whole story.
Free oil floats and can be skimmed; emulsified oil and fine, light solids do not settle and must be floated with coagulant and micro-bubbles. Food, dairy, edible-oil, meat, refinery, automotive (coolant, paint-shop), metal-working and chemical plants all produce these streams. Discharge norms (oil & grease ≤ 10 mg/L) and the health of the downstream biological plant both demand removal at the front end.
Free oil and coarse droplets — plate separator, no chemicals. Emulsified oil, FOG and fine solids — DAF with coagulant. Many plants need a plate separator first and DAF second.
30–60 % on food and dairy effluents where COD is largely FOG and solids; less on dissolved streams. It is a pre-treatment, not a complete ETP.
DAF float (5–10 % solids) goes to sludge holding and dewatering; oily float from separators to a slop tank for recovery or authorised disposal.
