How much does an ETP cost?

How much space does an ETP need?

Roughly 1–2.5 m² per KLD for a conventional plant, less for MBR or packaged units. Anaerobic and ZLD stages add area. We give a footprint with every preliminary scheme.

What are the discharge norms for industrial effluent in India?

General standards under the Environment (Protection) Rules: pH 5.5–9, BOD ≤ 30 mg/L, COD ≤ 250 mg/L, TSS ≤ 100 mg/L, oil & grease ≤ 10 mg/L, with industry-specific limits for parameters such as colour, phenol, ammonia, chromium and TDS. Your consent to operate from the State Pollution Control Board states the exact limits that apply.

Can treated effluent be reused in the plant?

Yes — after tertiary filtration and, where needed, UF and RO, treated effluent is commonly reused for cooling towers, floor washing, gardening and, in many plants, process make-up. Reuse reduces fresh-water cost and is mandatory in ZLD areas.

How long does it take to build an ETP?

A packaged skid for small capacity: 8–12 weeks. A site-built turnkey plant of a few hundred KLD: 5–8 months including civil work, followed by 4–8 weeks of biological seeding and stabilisation.

Chemicals with engineering, not just a delivery

Most treatment plants buy chemicals from a trader who has never seen the plant, at a dose set years ago. We supply chemicals as an engineering service: we characterise your water, run jar tests, select the product and grade, set the dose, and review consumption against outlet results every month. Plants we supply typically cut chemical spend by 15–30 % while improving outlet compliance — because the right coagulant at the right pH does more than twice the wrong one.

Products are sourced from established Indian manufacturers with certificates of analysis for every batch; we hold stock for regular customers and can bundle chemical supply with an O&M contract.

Coagulants: Poly aluminium chloride (PAC, 10–18 % Al₂O₃), alum, ferric chloride, ferrous sulphate, polyamine and organic coagulants.
Flocculants / polyelectrolytes: Anionic, cationic and non-ionic polyacrylamides in powder and emulsion — for clarification, DAF and sludge dewatering.
pH and precipitation: Hydrated lime, caustic soda, soda ash, sulphuric and hydrochloric acid, sodium sulphide and TMT for heavy metals.
Membrane chemicals: Antiscalants, dispersants, sodium metabisulphite, alkaline and acidic CIP cleaners, membrane preservatives.

Boiler water chemicals: Oxygen scavengers, phosphate and polymer internal treatment, neutralising and filming amines, condensate treatment.
Disinfection: Sodium hypochlorite, calcium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide precursors, bromine products.

Do you supply chemicals without a treatment plant contract?

Yes — chemical supply is a standalone service. The jar test and dose sheet come with it; O&M and dosing equipment are optional.

PAC or alum — which coagulant should I use?

PAC works over a wider pH range, produces less sludge and is less temperature-sensitive; alum is cheaper per kg. The jar test on your water decides — often PAC wins on total cost despite the higher price.

Which polyelectrolyte for sludge dewatering?

Usually a medium- to high-charge cationic polyacrylamide for biological sludge; anionic grades for inorganic or chemical sludge. We test three or four grades on your sludge and pick by cake dryness and dose.

Do you provide certificates of analysis?

Every batch is supplied with the manufacturer's CoA and safety data sheet.
